Riding Death Road is challenging, you must be safe on the bike and the guidelines from the guides are lifesavers. And Kenneth and Sdenka were friendly, professional and made sure we had a fantastic and safe(!) time.
The complementary food and snacks during the time were more than sufficient and of good quality. The bus were very well supporting us with our personal belongings and food whenever possible.
This agency might be a bit more pricy than others, but the small group, the professional guides and not at last the that great pictures were taken so that we could concentrate on riding down, made it worth to pay this add up.
Best Tour I had so far in South America. Thanks to Kenneth and the entire team. Highly appreciated!

The route is mostly downhill, but there are some places where you will need to pedal your bicycle. If you are not athletic, it may be less painful if you strengthen your thighs a little.
You need to concentrate on driving where you need to be careful, but we stopped many times at observation points so you can enjoy the spectacular view. It is not essential to bring your own camera as the guide will take many great pictures.
Breakfast at café del mundo is included. (eggs, bread, fruit, coffee, juice)
A sandwich, chocolate bar, chips, banana and a bottle of water will be provided as a snack on the Death Road. You can always refill water in the car.
Lunch will be served around 14:30, after completing the bike ride. I was very sweaty, so it was nice to be able to borrow a shower and towel.
After lunch, you can pay 80 bs to be guided through the reserve, which is an animal sanctuary. It was valuable to observe monkeys, fukumari bears, puma, jaguar, etc. up close. The knowledgeable staff will explain everything in detail. They say that most of the payment is used for conservation of the reserve.
It is very tiring, but if you have come all the way to La Paz, you should definitely experience it.

August 18, 2024Best tour provider in La Paz best tour! - The Death Road tour is a must in La Paz. It's so much fun! I am glad I chose Gravity to do it among all the options you pass by... read more in downtown La Paz and in the internet. The itinerary was perfect, starting with a nice breakfast while our guide Noel gave us instructions about how the tour would happen. Then we got on a van that carried us (we were a group of five that day) along with the bikes up to the starting point. They provided us with all the necessary gear including mandatory helmets and gloves, and optional pads. Also, we got to use jackets and overpants, which saved us from getting our clodes muddy! They also provide you with camera mounts if you request it.
For the first part we went down an asphalt road, always with one guide in the front and one in the back of the group. If anyone was not so confident and wanted to lag behind, they would support us, same as for confident riders up front. Always looking for our safety and giving instructions to prevent accidents. This was good to get used to the bikes and the gear, which were all top class.
Then we got back on the van (the bikes were carried on top) and finally started the Death Road downhill. The road itself is a little bit rocky and winding but nothing too hard even for people who don't usually mountain bike. It is so much fun! The view is amazing and the guides take a lot of pictures and provide us with information along the way.
In the end we reached a river where you can take pictures with a nice Death Road sign, and then we had lunch in an animal sanctuary where we could optionally go on a small tour and see a lot of animals including bears and jaguars! This is a Gravity exclusive, so you will not get it on other tour providers. Also, we got a nice "I survived the death road" tshirt as a souvenir. 🙂
A huge shout out to Noel and Omar, our biking guides, and also to Don Guille, our driver. You guys were amazing!
